What is so special about being a Dental Assistant?
Let's face it, some people don't have the time to go back to college full time or even part time. It's getting tougher and tougher to pay the bills and on top of that, job security is all but something in the past. People are wondering every day if they will have a job tomorrow. There is an industry that is not getting hit as hard as others and that industry is health care!
There will always be a need to care for people. Dentists, General Doctors, Surgeons and others in the medical field are thriving in this economy. To know how an industry is doing, check the supplies that the industry is using. Here is an excerpt from transworldnews.com
"Demand for dental products (excluding equipment) in the US is forecast to rise 4.5 percent per year to nearly $11 billion in 2012, aided by favorable population trends, as well as a continued interest in cosmetic dentistry applications. A greater number of individuals are viewing oral care as a requirement for good overall health, providing added opportunities for a variety of dental products. These and other trends, including market share and company profiles, are presented in Dental Products & Materials, a new study from The Freedonia Group, Inc., a Cleveland-based industry market research firm."
The only thing you can do now is think smart. "Do I get a job that just gets me by or do I start working on a serious career?"
You can work in a nice clean office with other Dental Assistants who WANT to be there. You are working with professionals who are in a career that makes them happy. You are making friends with patients who WANT to see you.
Dental Assistant Training
Your dental assistant training will be the start of a fulfilling, meaningful career. We find that the majority of our students have worked in many jobs. We don't consider those jobs a waster of time; rather stepping-stones that eventually landed them here.
Our students didn't wake up one morning and say "I want to be a Dental Assistant!" Most knew somebody in the field, saw a commercial. However you got here, this is your time, your decision. You have an eagerness to learn and know that you want this. Dental Assistant
Training can afford you the opportunity to work anywhere in the country. Dental offices are literally everywhere. Most dental offices are goal-oriented and will offer extra specialized dental assistant training opportunities. Many of our graduates attended our course with a friend or relative.
